What is Earnest Money?
Earnest money, often referred to as a “good faith deposit,” is a sum of money that a buyer submits to the seller as a sign of their commitment and seriousness about purchasing a property. Earnest money is typically held in escrow until the completion of the deal or, in certain circumstances, may be returned to the buyer.
